Hi, I’m Niki. Nutrition geek, yogi, gym rat, future nurse + people-loving introvert. Set free by Christ.
I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison where I studied Nutrition-Dietetics, Communication Strategy, and Entrepreneurship. I now study nursing at Emory University in Atlanta. But basically I’m just a girl with a passion for health, food, and people! I love to cook and get creative in the kitchen, as well as inspire others to do the same. My belief is that there is no singular path to good health, and it is a personal journey for everyone. I’m here to venture out on that journey with you. I’ll be sharing delicious recipes and journaling my way through nursing school, hopefully providing snippets of inspiration along the way.
I think health looks different for everyone. Health and wellbeing is not just about avoiding “bad” foods and exercising regularly. It’s about finding what works for YOU. Whether that means religiously eating dessert every day, adopting a vegan diet, or searching for a greater sense of balance, my point is that there is no special formula for health. My hope is that this blog will help you to make gradual changes in your life that help to nourish your mind, body, and soul. And I’ll be right alongside you making changes and discovering what nourishes and balances me as well.
I am by no means an expert, but I am someone with experiences. I have stories to tell, struggles to work through, knowledge from great Universities, and faith to share. So join me on this journey to nourish your mind, body, and soul.
When not in the kitchen you may find me: spending time with loved ones, cozying up with a cup of coffee or tea, going for a hike, practicing yoga, exploring Atlanta, watching videos of my family’s crazy GSP (german shorthaired pointer) that mom sends me from back home in Wisconsin, reading a book, lifting heavy things at the gym, cheering on the Packers and Badgers, trying a new restaurant, or photographing the world around me.
